Let the smartphone battle begin!
Google smartphones are set to dethrone the Apple iPhone from its dominant position in the mobile smartphone market, says ZDNET. Why? Mainly because the Google phones are based on the Google Android operating system, while the iPhone has the OS X.
What can I say? Steve Jobs and co seem to always get beaten up when it comes to their Mac-based operating system. All was well while iPhone had the cooler gadget, but the substance behind it is still the Macintosh interface that many people continue to find unfriendly. The Jobs Achilles heel is still aching.
My only question is: where is Microsoft in all this? I have a feeling they are up cooking something, but unless they move faster into this they might end up left out of the mobile phone market.
